The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency claimed it's alarmed about the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area daily. The services place designed for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people sassa who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all prospects and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
